Ils me faisaient de l'oeil depuis leur sortie et si vous me suivez sur , vous savez que j'ai profité à la dernière minute d'une promo sur le site de Kiko Cosmetics pour m'offrir 6 teintes des Velvet Passion Matte Lipsticks ! Mais que valent-ils vraiment ? Réponse dans l'article ! 😉

I wanted them at the first time I've ever saw them (true love story) and if you follow me on Twitter, you know I bought 6 for 3 of these lipsticks ! But are they worth it ? Answer in this blog post ! haha

Je ne sais pas vous mais je suis bluffée par le packaging assez inhabituel pour des produits d'une marque abordable comme KIKO. Les tubes sont en sorte de métal/alu vraiment solide mais tout autant léger et en deux parties : un capuchon et le contenant du produit lui-même qui se tourne pour faire sortir le raisin comme tout autre rouge à lèvres. J'aime beaucoup le côté bi-colore du packaging avec le capuchon gris métallisé contrasté avec le bas du tube en métal doré. L'autre petit détail, c'est la fermeture aimantée souvent synonyme d'un produit plus haute gamme !

I don't know you but I'm really surprised by this pacakging, unsusual for a affordable brand like KIKO. The tubes are in a alumunium/metal kind of material. It is realy resistant and light at the same time, the lipstick is in two parts : the cap which is in a black grey color and the lipstick tube in metallic gold that rotate to let the product come out. The other detail I really like is the magnetic locking, normally used for more high end products !

Parlons maintenant du rouge à lèvres en lui-même ! D'après la marque, il s'agit d'un rouge à lèvres " à texture onctueuse et ultra fondante qui offre à vos lèvres un effet mat intense " et qui se veut longue tenue. Mais en réalité, ça donne quoi ?

Now let's talk about the lipstick itself ! The brand says " The creamy, easily blended texture gives the lips and intense matte look " and adds that the lipstick is long lasting. But what's in reality ?

Niveau texture : assez crémeuse et assez facile à appliquer même si je trouve qu'elle aurait pu être d'avantage fondante pour s'appliquer en un seul passage ! Sur la durée, pas de lèvres asséchées et une sensation douce lorsque l'on porte ce produit.

For the texture : really creamy and easy to apply even if I think that it could be more like a melting texture on the lips so it could be applied in one coat ! In long-term, no dry lips and a soft sensation while wearing the product !

Niveau matité et pigmentation : ce n'est pas le rouge à lèvres le plus mat que j'ai en ma possession (cela est dû à sa texture crémeuse) mais il tient tout à fait ses promesses niveau matité ! Concernant la pigmentation encore une fois je suis épatée ! Rien à envier aux autres marques : les tons nudes comme les plus colorés sont opaques en un seul passage !

For the matte effect and the pigmentation : it's not the mattest lipstick I own (because of the creamy texture) but it keeps its matte promesses ! haha For the pigmentation, once again I'm surprised ! Nothing to envy to the other brands : the nude shades as the colored ones are opaques in one swatch !

For the durability during the day : they are perfect for everyday if you don't eat ! I was careful while drinking and nothing really goes off but during lunch, the color easily fells off. But the durability is obviously better than a glossy/creamy classic lipstick, thanks to the matte effect which sticks more to the lips !

Niveau tenue : ils sont parfait pour tous les jours si l'on ne mange pas ! J'ai fais attention lorsque je buvais et rien n'est vraiment parti mais le repas fait que la couleur s'estompe facilement. Néanmoins, la tenue est bien entendu meilleur qu'un gloss ou un rouge à lèvres classique, le côté mat fait que la couleur tien plus aux lèvres donc tout est relatif ! 😉

J'ai donc choisi 6 couleurs différentes pour tester cette joli gamme, qui sont les suivantes :

320 Hazelnutz : un brun marronné assez tendances ces derniers temps

313 Sangria : un rouge chauds aux reflet légèrement dorés
a warm red with gold reflects
314 Plum : comme son nom l'indique, un magnifique prune très doux
as its own name says, it's a beautiful plum color
315 Mauve : un joli rose aux sous-tons froids
a beautiful cold undertones pinky color

Ces rouge à lèvres sont des petites merveilles hyper abordables dans un packaging hyper robuste et facile à emmener partout ! J'aime beaucoup l'originalité du packaging et de la " découpe " du raisin ! La pigmentation est surprenante pour un produit à 8.90€ facile à trouver et à tester en magasin ! En plus de ça, la gamme de couleur proposée est vraiment énorme, je n'ai pris que 6 couleurs mais il en existe 20 ! Bref, gros coup de cœur pour ces nouveaux rouge à lèvres !

These lipsticks are pretty awsome really affordable in a solid packaging easy to take with you everywhere ! I really like the originality of the packaging and the shape of the lipstick itself ! The pigmentation is surprising for a $12 lipstick easy to find and try on in stores ! But furthermore, the color range is huge, I took 6 colors but it exists 20 shades for this matte lipsticks ! However, it's a big win for these new Kiko lipsticks !
